The Grundy Goats are a youth baseball team founded in the summer of 2025, proudly representing Garrard County, Kentucky. Our team is comprised entirely of local youth, fostering community spirit both on and off the field.
The name "Grundy" is a nod to a famous piece of local lore. It was inspired by the hit country song “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident),” by John Michael Montgomery. The song, a chart-topping hit, is said to be based on an actual event that took place at the Garrard County Stockyards. Our team adopted the name to honor this unique connection to our community's heritage and the local history that inspired a national hit. We are the OG’s of GC!
At the Grundy Goats, we believe in energy, effort, and ownership. We are committed to developing top-tier players and outstanding individuals who will contribute positively to our community. We train hard and play harder, with the ultimate goal of making Garrard County proud.
